PI Fast-Facts
FAQ
What is Primary Insight?
Primary Insight is a quality-focused expert network for institutional decision-makers. We connect investment, advisory, and corporate teams with currently active, precision-matched experts who can answer a specific research question. The work is not finished when a conversation is scheduled. It is finished when the client has the decision-critical information they came for.
How is Primary Insight different from other expert networks?
Most networks treat the call as the product and pull names from a static database. Primary Insight sources a large share of experts new for each project, runs a qualifying interview before any client time is used, and keeps the engagement open if the first conversation does not resolve the question. About 70 percent of experts are sourced fresh for that specific request. Experts are still active in the industry, not recalling it from years ago.
What is the PI Standard?
The PI Standard is how every engagement is run, whether the format is a call, meeting, event, or survey. Phase one is vetting and qualifying, including custom sourcing and a Pre-Call Orientation. Phase two is the consultation itself, with the client speaking directly to the expert. Phase three is the debrief: if the question is not answered, the team goes back to phase one and continues the work. That follow-through is the Answer Commitment.
How long has Primary Insight been operating?
Primary Insight was developed inside Bear Stearns in 2005, retained by JPMorgan, and has operated to an institutional standard for more than 20 years. The firm has delivered 800,000+ successful consultations and served 2,700+ client organizations, with clients and experts active across six continents.
How do you handle compliance?
Compliance is treated as a core operating requirement. Experts are briefed on the boundaries of appropriate discussion before any engagement begins. Primary Insight maintains institutional-grade compliance with zero infractions over more than two decades. Clients receive the documentation and transparency their own legal and compliance teams require.
Do we need a large commitment to get started?
No. Teams can begin on a project basis without large minimum commitments. The same matching, qualifying, and compliance standards apply whether the need is one conversation or a broader program of calls, meetings, events, or surveys. One call is enough to see the difference.
